David and the contractor both freaked out about the garage having been made into the dining room. They said “you can’t do that” so many times, I wondered if it's actually against code in the Toronto area. Does anybody know?
I‘m totally with Page on this, people do it all the time in the US. The only thing that seemed odd to me was they left the exterior looking like garage doors.
edit to add….meant to also say David and Hilary were in NC for some seasons, where he must have seen garages made into rooms and realized you can in fact do this.
