Fuck all you absolute BORES with no imagination, creativity, or passion who say Immortality would be a horrible curse.

No caveats. No monkeys paw conditions. Just straight up Immortality and eternal youth. All those who say it would be bad lack passion and imagination.

I am a fan of history. I can say for certain that I would LOVE to witness the rise and fall of countless civilizations. I would love to see us reach the stars and explore the galaxy, if we ever do that at all. I would LOVE to travel the world and go where no man or woman has gone before.

"Oh but you'd get bored."

No, YOUR boring ass would get bored. Some people have passions that they NEVER tire of.

"But your friends and family would die before you."

Yes, that would indeed suck, but I'd get over it and eventually grow use to it adapt the appropriate mindset.

"You'll lose your humanity."

If I do, so what? What does that even mean? I won't care for others? I won't feel things? I doubt I'd just straight up become a sociopath, but even if I did, I wouldn't go crazy. My current interest are history, video games, movies, anime, books, and Manga. I'll ALWAYS have something to look forward to. I'll ALWAYS have something to fall back on to keep my mind preoccupied.

As for people and connections? I'm already a pretty solitary person as is, but I know that we all need people and I would not neglect that. Finding community would be hella easy if I needed it.

"Oh, but after millions and millions of years, you'd go mad."

Even if that is the case, that MILLIONS upon MILLIONS of years from now. I have literally ALL THE TIME IN THE UNIVERSE to come to terms with that. It's like saying "you should kill yourself because you're gonna die eventually".

No??? That's not how things work!

Rant done.

Realistically, the villain for Spiderman Brand New Day wouldn't be punished at all for what they did.

I'm talking about the head of Damage Control. Just assuming we take everything on screen at face value, what did HE really do? Some super powered, poor, nameless girl who was potentially a threat to society unfortunately died via accidental means by a company who 1000% has government protection, backing, and funds. It would MAYBE be a paragraph in middle section of a newspaper.

And that mutant who froze and paralyzed everyone within a mile radius? Hell, Damage Control would need MORE funding to combat such a threat. Whatever he did or has done in the past, we need him and his expertise to help defend against these threats.

Disclaimer: I'm not see these of my views at all. I'm saying it would be THAT easy to spin that to the media and populace, if you needed to spin anything at all after what a certain emotional teenage character did in her rampage across the city.

The point is she should have ABSOLUTELY smoked his ass.

Worm is to The Illiad what Ward is to The Odyssey.

I read the entirety of the Illiad in high-school for fun. I was introduced to the absolute badass that is Diomedes and it's a crying shame he isn't spoken about at all when it is my belief that he did more than Ajax, a guy people have heard of. SHAME ON CULTURAL MEMORY!!! SHAME!!!

Anyway, I read that, but I just couldn't go on to The Odyssey. I tried, I really did, but I just couldn't.

Same with Worm. I read the entirety of Worm in 2 weeks (I was fucking OBSESSED). However, I just couldn't bring myself to read Ward. I also tried, but I couldn't.

That's it. My mini-rant done. And once again, WHERE'S THE RESPECT FOR MY BOY DIOMEDES?!?!

Stuttering on someone's name is fucking horrendous..

If it's any other word you get stuck on, you can likely change the word with something else. But if you are stuck on a NAME, that's fuckin' hell.

I had to FIGHT get the name "Gary" out just now. I had to tell some people "Hey yall! We're gonna be with...!" The "G" would NOT come out and I had to pretend I was remembering the name (we're a large group of coworkers). They stared and waited for me to get the word out, but when I did, of course had to repeat myself, and I got stuff on the very same word.

Awesome...

I don't believe Doomguy is actually that strong. His universe is just that f**kin' weak.

I keep seeing "Doomguy wipes this. Doomguy is universal level. Hell is afraid of him!"

He's just a guy in a powersuit and some guns. Like, I can't look at this guy and see anything pass a small town threat to anything that's outside his universe.

And if it was absurdity like One Punch Man then I wouldn't mind it. But he's taken SO seriously and I just don't get it. He's just a dude in a powersuit that the narrative says can do all this things and of course he can because he does indeed do this things because he's a video game protagonist.

It's like playing as a regular knight who beats a dragon. No fucking way is he gonna actually beat a dragon, but as the main character, if I just slash enough times it's gonna die.

Nolan from Invincible proves that death doesn't matter in fiction. We will ALWAYS have that suspension of disbelief that really separates us from fictional consequences because I'm pretty sure most people can agree that real life Hitler could never get a redemption arc.

Yeah, the comparison is extreme because Thragg would be the more fair comparison to Hitler, but my point still stands. Most good people can agree that no matter what he does, no matter if he had a revelation given by God himself, Hitler could never be redemption for what he did, which is be responsible for the deaths of millions of real life people.

Nolan is responsible for possibly more than that in his hundreds of years alive. And in his last escapade, he forced his son to ram into a train of them, adding a brutal personal level to it. And of course he insulted his wife and Make while doing it.

But because it's fiction, we're willing to forgive him because "he's changed." Would you forgive some who killed your mother, father, son, daughter, grandpa, grandma, so easily because "he's changed."

I doubt it, but because we know its fiction, and the written down deaths of millions means nothing to else, we are capable of forgiving a monster because "he feels bad."

Is it ok to get sperm tested at week 9 instead of 12?

For those wondering why I can't wait the full 12, it's because I'm in the military, and I just received orders that are gonna have me gone for a long time. I was snipped 8 weeks ago, and next week will be the 9th week since. I know I can wait until I get back, but I want to know if I get the all clear on week 9, is recanalization really a concern I'd have to worry about from that point on?

Of course, I'll get my sperm tested again when I get back just to be absolutely sure, but I want to know if they see any swimmers in there next week, should I be concerned?
