Context - this is for Alaska , thanks for helping me eliminate NCL jade. I was made aware that it isn’t tha great. I’m able to get NCL encore round trip for 2100 CAD PP 7 days out of Seattle

And I’m getting Princess discovery 2750 CAD PP one way southbound from Alaska to Vancouver

All prices for Balcony rooms, we are currently in Toronto.

The main difference between them

1. We are vegetarian and encore has a few more activities but we have heard that the discovery is a better cruise
2. We want the cruise experience as well, my parents have never done one and this might be once in a lifetime trip for them
3. Princess has better ports and this matters as I understood from the group
4. If we do southbound we will spend a few days in anchorage which is not a problem, hopefully we will do some good excursions when we are out there

Please share advice if any on how I should plan this and what could be my best action plan

I have tried to read through this sub and others but I am still torn between the ships, and what to prefer while taking my Parents and In-laws on a 1 way from Vancouver to Alaska 7 day trip(Or do a RT for Bliss) . I wasnt able to get the HAL but these are the ones i am debating on, if anyone who has done these can give me a brief on how to make the selection. We are looking to book Balconies for August.

Something about my family - 3 couples (2 sets of parents close to 60) - We like Casino, music and dance, theatre styled entertainment , and good "Vegan/Vegetarian" food.

Things that I have researched on -

1. Port timing - Looks similar for all
2. NCL Jade does the Hubbard
3. Princess does Glacier bays
4. Excursions - I need to think more about these if i should purchase these from the carrier or find an outside vendor
5. Layering is a must
6. Dog sledging, Helicopter rides, Treks and food on ports
