A question for people with congenital alexithymia.

Are there any people here with congenital—rather than acquired—alexithymia?

Could you tell me a bit about yourselves?

How do people treat you? What are your relationships like? Has logic replaced emotion for you? How do you perceive other people? Do you see meaning in the things where others do (anything from traditions to greetings), and so on?

I’d like to compare this with my own experience.

My first scenario: Veilhold (SCE 🃏 + IS 🎭)

I tried making a relatively large scenario with my own world, primarily to test the SCE, which is supposed to make the world come alive through the constant activation of story cards. This is my first scenario, though.

I'd love for you to try it out and leave some feedback.

Ultimate Solution for Everyone: SCE - Story Card Extension Script

I know what you might be thinking after reading the title: "Is this just clickbait, or another complicated script that isn't for me!" But this is different. This is exactly for you. Even if you don't realize you need it yet, you will definitely want to try it. And once you experience how it works, you won't want to play without it.

If you have any doubts about whether you need it or worry it might break something, please read this post to the end. I’ll address all those concerns right here.

Why you’ll want to try it:
One of the core features of this script is that it automatically activates your Story Cards based on what’s actually happening in your adventure. This keeps your world cohesive and alive, seamlessly integrating lore without blowing up the context window, because it only injects what is relevant in that exact moment.

In other words, the script puts your Story Cards on full autopilot. You don’t have to do anything: no messy workarounds, no complex setups. It’s as simple as it gets. It literally brings the world to life because lore cards are triggered by context, not just exact keyword matches. Relevant cards are already in the AI's memory, and irrelevant ones stay out of the way.

What is the main point of this script?
It EXPANDS the functionality of Story Cards, eliminating their usual downsides and limitations by adding smart, context-aware alternatives to the native Trigger system (don't worry, native Triggers still work exactly as they always have). What I described above is just one feature. I made this script completely universal so it works for everyone.

  • Just a player? It helps the AI remember and understand what's going on. No more "Huh? What?" from your ally half an hour into the game.
  • Scenario Creator? It makes your life significantly easier.
  • Want detailed locations? It handles it.
  • Want to build a whole world with its own rules? It handles it.
  • Want to define personality traits for every character? It handles it.
  • Want the AI to remember important moments or details during an adventure? It handles it.

Why do you need this if Triggers are enough for you?
Even if you are a master at using Triggers, new tools only bring benefits and make things easier. Why chop down trees with your bare hands when you’ve been handed an axe? You get more capabilities that are simply more convenient. You won't have to build massive workarounds or complex schemes to make the AI use cards on its own—it will just do it. And most importantly, nothing stops you from combining both approaches.

How does it do this?
The script looks at what is happening in your adventure. It gathers the important keywords from your recent text, and does the same for every Story Card. Then the magic happens: it takes the cards that match the current context the best and seamlessly adds them to the AI's prompt.

What other features are there?

  • Parent Hierarchies: You can assign a 'parent' to a card. For example, a specific personality trait can be a child of a Character card, or a Tavern can be a child of a City card. Parents can even have their own parents, creating a detailed hierarchy so context doesn't get mixed up. If the parent isn't relevant to the current context (e.g., you are in a different city, or that character isn't around), its children won't appear in the context.
  • Events System: For tracking specific occurrences.
  • Permanent Context: You can force certain cards to always be in context (acting as a much more stable reference than Author's Note or Plot Essentials).
  • Random Card Injection: Adds variety and unpredictability to your adventure.

You might have some obvious doubts:

  • Will it take control away from me? No. You decide if a Story Card is allowed to be used automatically. It only adds cards with your permission.
  • Will it teleport me to another city just because both have a "chair"? No. The context matching is smart enough to avoid generic false positives.
  • Will it overload the context window? No. The maximum number of active cards is controlled by changing a single number in the settings. No context bloat.
  • Is it hard to set up? No. It works perfectly right out of the box. It takes 5 minutes to understand, and there is a detailed guide right inside the config card.
  • Does it cause AI hallucinations? No. Even if a slightly less relevant card is pulled, the AI sees it framed as "The following information might be relevant," which doesn't force the AI to use it.
  • Is it compatible with other tools? Yes, it works perfectly alongside Auto Cards and Inner Self.
  • Will it break my game? No. It doesn't alter game mechanics; it simply feeds better information into the context.
  • Does it work on the Free Tier? Yes, it is highly optimized and works great on the free tier.

Please, try it before you criticize it.

I built this script for myself, but I’m sharing it because I know how frustrating the base game's limitations can be, and it feels unfair that there are no good solutions. I put a lot of time and effort into making this flawless.
Nobody knows about this script right now, although I believe it will be useful to many, which is why I'm writing this.

If this improves your experience even a little bit, the best way to say "thank you" or let me know my work wasn't in vain is to simply try it out, tell others about it if you like it, or publish a scenario mentioning its name in the description. That way, I can find it through the site's search and see that my effort truly helped people.
For those who remember what I already mentioned, this is a major update that makes the script much better, completely changing its essence.
I'll be waiting for your feedback.
