Will ML2 1.0 be worth it?

Hello, everyone,

I loved the first ML, it was very original, pretty nice-looking (without being stunning) and fairly fun. A good little indie game to pass the time.

I played the very first phase of the ML2 Early Access demo, which I finished, but I was a little disappointed (mainly because it was way too hard for me and still had too many bugs). If you're curious, my old posts are probably still floating around somewhere in this subreddit.

By pure chance while browsing Steam, I saw that version 1.0 has already been announced for September 2 (I do regret, by the way, the lack of advertising for this game, which really deserves more attention) I also saw that a new demo was/will be available. However, I wanted to ask you, since I’ve totally given up on ML2 and haven’t been following its development:

When ML2 officially releases as version 1.0, will it be worth it? Has the full game been improved enough? Have the all-too-numerous bugs finally been fixed? Has the difficulty been reviewed and adjusted? Is the game interesting and fun?

What’s your feedback? I’m surprised not to see a thread on this topic, so I’m taking the liberty of posting this. I’m very curious to hear your opinions. Thanks in advance.

9-1-1 has become my favorite US TV show

On July 29, my best friend recommended 9-1-1. Today, August 16, I finished all eight seasons and no regrets!

Heads up: I’m in France, so no S9 spoilers please! Just had to jump on here and share my thoughts.

My friend convinced me to watch all episodes, and she was so right. I fell for the entire cast, was glued to the screen during the big disasters (>!and cracked up at the meteorite call!<), and loved the multi-episode pacing and soundtrack. Perfect character growth all around!

S2/S3 are peak 9-1-1, and >!Buck’s coma dream!< is top-tier. Buck had the best arc, he went from my least favorite in the pilot to the character I identify with most. Loved Bobby, Athena, Buck, Josh, and Michael (and how the show tackles loneliness), but Maddie was hands down my least favorite.

>!Bobby's S8 fate devastated me. In a show where Maddie survives a slashed throat, losing Cap just feels wrong.!<

All in all, 9-1-1 is incredible (binge-watching it definitely helped!). My biggest fear now is that >!losing Cap!< will hit the show too hard, similar to how Criminal Minds lost its magic when >!lead actors left!<. Time will tell!

Thanks for reading, and curious to hear your thoughts!

How should I set up the game so it runs properly?

Hello, everyone.

Back in 2024, I played Miles Morales on this same PC, without any major issues preventing me from completing my first normal playthrough at 100%.

Two years later, I want to play it again on the same PC, but now the performances are terrible: a nearly steady 30 FPS outside of combat (with not-too-bad graphics), but an unplayable 15 FPS during combat!

I have the same issue with No Man's Sky.

So I’m reaching out to ask for your help in figuring out which settings to adjust.

I have an MSI Katana GF66-11SC laptop purchased in February 2022, with an Intel Core i5-11400H CPU @ 2.70 GHz (12 cores) and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 GPU with 4 GB of VRAM.

My Windows 10 64-bit is up to date, as are all my drivers (including the GPU), and all my PC settings are set to “Maximum Performance” mode. Also, my PC was professionally cleaned at a service center yesterday.

Thanks for your help.
