i dont get r/fakedisordercringe

I’m not in their community but i saw someone post about saying self diagnosis is ableist and i just wanted to put my input as an autistic person but apparently just mentioning that you have autism can get your comment taken down?

i don’t understand why you wont let people with these disabilities to say what diagnosis they have and have an input on the conversation. me having autism does add to my perspective on me believing self diagnosis is not ableist especially as someone who was late diagnosed and had to self diagnose for a while before i could even consider getting a diagnosis. i wasn’t just mentioning it for funnies

i don’t think self diagnosis is inherently ableist, if your calling yourself autistic in place of the word stupid i think thats ableist

i just hate that community i go there every-once in a while to downvote stuff because i think its actually more ableist to hyper-focus on every-single disabled person you meet to decide whether you, a non professional, determine they’re disabled

im upset

im fine with my bunny dying as thats something everyone will do and im aware he was an older bunny but im just so upset with the vets who neutered him.

he was neutered at the typical time youd neuter a bunny and the vets said they could do the neuter and did. they only found one ball though and acted like that was fine and to contact them if the other one dropped.

the other one didnt drop the only reason we found out something was wrong was because he had like ecoli and went to the vet and they did an ultrasound of his belly and they found the other trestical. nearly 6 years later and around 6cm in diameter.

so we were thinking back to him being neutered and turns out they hadnt even tried to find his other testicle which is just so baffling to me.

i know they werent like a specialty vet they were mostly for cats anf dogs but if you dont feel confident orknow how to properly neuter a rabbit just say that and wed find another vet.

we eneded up putting him down since he was starting to show difficulty walking and the testical was probably cancerous. otherwise he was healthy. we didnt want to put him through surgery again since thered be no guarentee hed wake up qnd hed be in pain and upset.

i just wanted to rant because i found it very upseting and its not even like we couldve really known better. we followed the vets advice and didnt think nothing of it
