ear problems

Hello. I had a CSF leak 9 months ago, which lasted about a month and then closed up. However, I still have tinnitus. Do you think this is permanent? Or does the healing process after a CSF leak take longer? Please, if anyone has experienced this, share your experience. Thank you.

I need some support, can you please help me?

I received an epidural during childbirth, so I got VSS. During that time, I experienced CSF leakage and horizontal double vision, and for two months I was only focused on how I saw. I couldn't even get out of bed because lying flat is necessary for the CSF leak to close. During that time, I noticed floaters and BFEP. After researching, I found VSS and started noticing statics as well. I'm getting used to my vision now, but whenever I feel like I'm getting used to it, I remember what I went through and wonder what it would have been like if it hadn't happened. Honestly, adjusting to my new vision hurts my heart. I'm very grateful that I don't have any debilitating symptoms. However, thinking about the possibility of it getting better is deteriorating my mental state. Please, can you support me? How can I overcome this? Right now, the pain of what I went through is upsetting me more than the symptoms. Honestly, if I hadn't experienced double vision and CSF leakage and my vision had become like this, I probably wouldn't have worried so much, thinking that my astigmatism had increased and floaters had formed. But I can't get over the trauma. My vision isn't that bad now, but the fear I'm experiencing is preventing me from getting better. Please, will you support me?

My vision before vss; i though i saw like iphone 16 max camera, is it possible or just my brains game?

Friends, before getting the VSS, I thought it looked like the iPhone 16 Pro Max camera. Do you think this is possible? Or is my brain romanticizing the past because things have changed, and it seems like it was the best time? I feel like I used to see things much more clearly and sharply, and that's why opening the phone camera makes me feel down. Do you think it's possible to see it like the iPhone 16 Pro Max camera? Or are these phones taking photos with adjusted colors and sharpness due to advancing technology?

Is anyone else here experiencing visual snow syndrome after the CSF leak?

Is anyone else here experiencing visual snow syndrome after the CSF leak? I developed visual snow syndrome after spinal anesthesia, but I can't tell if it's related to CSF leak or the anesthetic drug.

What I thought was tinnitus turned out to be the sound coming from my printer.

Yes, I have tinnitus, mostly a buzzing sound that occurs in silence and sometimes cricket sound. But lately, I thought a new sound had been added that was really bothering me. Today I investigated this sound and realized it was the machine sound coming from my printer. I'm happy it's not new tinnitus, but I'm also sad that it's affected my mental health so much. I never heard this sound before 😭
I want to be normal again.Isnt is possible?😭

I only see black in the dark.

i If there's no light at all, I only see black. If there's some light, yes, I feel a tingling sensation and see some translucent movement, but in the dark it's completely black. What does this mean? I have many VSS symptoms; static, BFEP, floaters, tinnitus... but being able to still see black in the dark is making me wonder.

have your evet tried lamotrigine?

Has anyone tried lamotrigine before? Will it make things worse or will it have no effect? I at least want to try it because I'm really afraid of the symptoms getting worse or seeing it stagnant for the rest of my life.

summer, sun and beach

Summer has arrived and vacation plans are being made. While everyone is relaxing, thinking about the sun and sea, I'm afraid of what I'm going to see :( Floaters and BFEP scare me. It's exhausting that I can't enjoy places I used to find peace in, and that I'm even afraid to go there anymore.

Does your tinnitus constantly worsen or is it stabil?

Since I started this job, my tinnitus has reached different sounds and different levels. Isn't this stagnant? Can loud noises harm us? Should I think about this when going to a concert?

Can everyone experience visual snow to a certain degree?

Whenever I talk to my friends and ask them if they see tingling on the wall, 80% say yes. The 20% who said no were friends with lower intelligence. Most see floaters, have BFE (Behind-the-Sight Emissions), and almost 100% see starbursts and halos. We make the symptoms visible through research and awareness, because sometimes I find myself getting used to my vision, and then when I say 'no, you're not normal, you're sick,' I find myself noticing the symptoms. I'm not saying it's entirely psychological, but I'm sure more people than we think experience VSS symptoms but don't know about them because they don't focus on them.

hello

Tinnitus is like a buzzing sound or a cricket chirping that's only heard in silence. What kind of tinnitus does everyone here have? Can you hear it in everyday situations? If I cover my ears with my fingers, I can hear it, but if I don't and I'm in a place with normal noise levels, I probably won't hear it.

my story

Hello everyone. Until I was 29, I never had any problems with my vision. I never wore glasses or contact lenses. There were even days when I could look directly at the sun. Unfortunately, due to anesthesia during childbirth, I developed floaters and visual snow. This is so upsetting that sometimes I feel like I'm going to go crazy. I wish I didn't know why it happened; it wouldn't be so devastating if I had always had eye problems, but developing floaters after having perfect, crystal-clear, magnificent vision breaks my heart. It's like a fire is burning inside me. I'm so sad. I wish I had never known my old perfect vision. That vision only causes pain. The closest thing to my old vision is the iPhone 16 Pro Max camera. I saw so clearly and brightly. I'm so sorry.

Why doctors don't care about floaters?

Why don't doctors create a potion that completely dissolves the vitreous humor? Tuberculosis was once deadly, but a vaccine was found. And people who had tuberculosis died knowing there was no cure. I wish a liquid could be injected into the eye to completely restore the vitreous humor; considering that floaters are protein fragments, I don't think it should be that difficult to do.
