DB auto renewal
I am from Switzerland and bought Deutche Bahn tickets for a one trip visit in April 26. I bought the bahncard 25 with it as I thought it was better.
Today I recieved a mail that it will be renewed on 27th of July 2026 for a full year 🤢. I went on the website to cancel it but it says cancelation is only available 4weeks before start of contract. All emails were in German (I speak no German at all) so I did not understand it would auto renew itself before the end of validity.
They have not charged my card yet. Should I block my card and deny the contract? What should I do as I don't live in Germany ? Can they prosecute me? What is your experience with DB and dispute? I sent them a message through their form to explain that I did not understand it was a subscription. Rarely seen those business practices in Switzerland...
