How do I know when my L4 giant Asian mantis is big enough for small Dubia roaches?

There isn’t much to this enclosure. A live orchid in orchid bark and a bit of barely moist cocohusk around it and the humidity is about 70 percent .

Here is my giant Asian mantis - newly an l4. It has been almost 48 hours and I’ve seen him
Wobbly move around the mesh lid to get some water after I misted. I am unsure when to offer food. I was going to wait until he was more active- is it ok if it is past 48 hours?

My l3 just molted! So excited! I have a few questions, about how long until he molts again?
Also, I just bought the enclosure posted above. I will modify it with screen mesh on top. Does this look good for l4 until adulthood?! If anyone has an enclosure this size please send pics of your setup! Thanks I am super excited!!

I see all the signs my L3 giant Asian mantis is about to molt. I wanted a new and better acrylic enclosure with a front opening door and screen mesh on the top. But it hasn’t arrived. Up until now he has been in the 32 oz deli cup with twice daily misting (it dries out completely quickly). But I was worried that the fruit fly culture lid would be a problem because I can’t add humidity once he hangs upside down on it to molt because I can’t take it off! So I replaced the lid with clean screen mesh and a rubber band. He has yet to climb to the top to hang since I’ve added the screen. I’m so nervous! He is hanging around the bottom. He is on the damp paper towel corner. I wonder if that’s for the humidity . I’m worried- will the mesh screen work well for him even tho he isn’t used to it?! I’m like a worried mama !
