Immigrants are affecting two social classes where many Kenyans lie. Hear me out.

The problems with mainly Burundians is that it's not our jobs they are mainly after because after all jobs are not that many ,they are venturing into self employment just like many Kenyans. It's just that the jobs they are creating are competing in an already filled up market. Look at it this way that person selling smokie ama ata kahawa they are doing so for survival. Now 100 of you doing so in an area then 30 more are added serving the same number of customers ,stressful right? Considering the current economical status of this country won't you protest? Because if we are not getting enough as citizens why then would 30 more foreigners be added. I know it sounds harsh and selfish but reality speaking it's the case . It should a case where the market can sustain majority us before including others.More like Kenya first.

Now ingia jobs" vibarua" where now many Kenyas are why would someone accept 500 bob for a job worth double the amount. Who is feeling the pain in this case ? Imo it's the Kenyan, why? Because maybe 500 back home is substansive but as a Kenyan with that amount is it rent ,food ,fees etc? These things sound crude on paper but there is a reason why labour unions exist to protect every right of a worker in Kenya were it that we are not led by tumbocrats.

Let's talk of the middle income class. Don't get me wrong everything is expensive I get it .But can we talk of the unfairness brought about by the influx of dollar buyers in the market. From housing where it's reported of units being overpriced to astronomical increase of basic commodities in supermarkets simply because there are ' wazungu ' coming in and they are loaded. What's the overall effect to that person whose paycheck has already been thinned by Kasongo and Co . Again are we seeing protection of the Kenyan consumer? No!
Immigration is a good thing it has it's advantages but if the government does not regulate it I'm afraid we could be heading the SA way and it's so sad .
