I have a question for those who are currently studying in South Korea regarding the student visa (not GKS, but those who applied directly to universities).

Different sources provide different information regarding the required bank balance and the amount of money you need to show. However, I’ve heard that the required amount may be reduced if the university covers only tuition but not accommodation, living expenses, etc., and that the requirement may even be waived entirely if the university covers tuition, accommodation, and meals.

I have a question for those who are studying in South Korea and applied directly to a university (not through GKS).

I’ve found different information about the bank account requirement for the student visa and how much money you need to show.
Can the required amount be reduced if, for example, the university covers only tuition but not accommodation? And can the bank account requirement be completely waived if the university covers tuition, accommodation, and meals?
I’d really appreciate it if someone who has gone through this process could share their experience!
