[OC] PA Pike on the fly
Caught this PA Pike while hitting the wood for Musky. Killer eat but not so killer fight. Ate a 12” Sucker fly with a gold Pacchiarini Dragon tail from Nightmare Musky flies.

This PA Musky was fired up and wanted my fly MOVING..Such a blast!!
This was my first 50” Musky on the fly. A frigid December day in Pennsylvania and the grind had me defeated mentally and I half &@$$ a retrieve and this chunky chick exploded on my fly at the boat. It was game on after that and she gave me a nice arial show just before she hit the net.
Still wrapping my head around this one. Easily my new personal best!
She absolutely crushed my fly and gave me the fight of a lifetime on the long rod.
Kept her in the water as much as possible and got a quick measurement before a perfect, lively release to fight another day. 💪**🏼**

She absolutely crushed my fly and gave me the fight of a lifetime on the long rod. She ran me around the boat several times and the sight of that fly dangling in the corner of her mouth was agonizing 😂

Hooked into this beauty of a lemon shark after spotting it cruising the Islamorada flats. Sight fishing them on a fly rod is an absolute adrenaline rush, and the sheer power of that first run had my reel screaming.
My forearms were completely burning, but getting it safely to the shallows for a quick photo and a healthy release made every second worth it. Kept the shark in the water the whole time to ensure a clean, safe release!
Stoked to cross this off the Florida bucket list!
Hooked into this beauty of a lemon shark sight fishing the Islamorada flats and it was easily one of the most intense fights of my life. Stripping line on a shark eat is something else entirely, and the sheer power of the first run had my reel absolutely screaming.

Gear setup for anyone curious: 11wt Orvis H3 fly rod, Redington Bahemoth reel, and a custom fly pattern tied on wire leader.
Safely released to swim another day!
