Silicone scar tape- game changer!

Silicone scar tape- game changer!

My niece bought me silicone scar tape. I was a little skeptical about how efficacious it was going to be. But as a protective layer between me and real clothes when I went back to work. This is a game changer! It's protective, reusable and soothing. However, I do hate peeling off, as that is an unpleasant sensation. But the tape is worth using it with the cushioning.

MUA Tuesday

After 4 surgeries over 20 years, I finally had a RTKR June 2. Been doing exercises, three times a week PT and still only get 110°. This is right where I was before surgery. I feel like I've been through all this for nothing. So MUA scheduled. How much pain will I be in? Any success stories to buoy me up?

7 weeks and finally on spin bike

51 days post surgery after trauma and longer shank implant (2 things that have made recovery slow!). Did 20 minutes on rowing machine (1 legged- bionic leg on furniture slider) and 10 minutes on spin bike with 2 legs! Finally getting back to working out and not feeling disabled! Also walked around Johnson Space Center/NASA yesterday!

Can't link Libby to Amazon for my Kindle

I have always use the app with my amazon account to load books onto my kindle. When I went to trade in my kindle for a new one, the link was broken and it is asking for me to log into my amazon account but will not take my credentials.

I have contacted Amazon customer support and they agree that my log in credentials are correct. But it will not be accepted on the link that Libby sends me to. Does anyone know how I can fix this and go back to reading library books on my Kindle??

5 weeks out and may not meet flexion target

I'm at 35 days and only have 105 degrees of flexion (I have -1° on extension) Sometimes pain stops my knee, but usually it feel like there is flesh/swelling physically blocking flexion. Elevating, icing, PT (3x week) and exercising as directed.

TKR was due to TPF decades ago, so not an arthritis issue per se. I do have a longer tibial stem, which make tibia really tender. Not sure if thats the reason.

When did people who had to be sedated and manually manipulated ( sounds awful) know they weren't going to be able to succeed on their own?

Getting frustrated!

23 days post op on long stem RTKR. On Journavyx and celebrex, but just can't get exercises done without using Norco. I loathe how I feel on codeine, but can't get flexion done without it. On days with PT I need it 3x a day and on off days I can take it twice and get exercises done 3 x. I'm just so frustrated to still be on codeine. My PT tells me higher pain is due to longer stem, but grrrrr.

Anyone with experience with longer stem in TKR?

I am 18 days post op and finally feeling a bit more like myself. I have a longer stem in my tibia to allow a return to running. My PT thinks my level of pain and longer recovery is due to this longer stem. Does anyone have experience with longer stem hardware and recovery?

Seen on flight from Sacramento to Houston. Presumably in Nevada.

No towns or settlements for miles. Look like boats at harbor- but no one lives there. Some sort of power generation?
