Warning to Anyone Going to Collect the DTE Supplies + Water

Went over to pick up one of the supplies bags DTE are handing out at my rec center. Opened it up to be greeted by mold and mildew. Those bags were probably packed many months ago and left to set in some soggy warehouse.

In case you’re wondering: the bags contain a flashlight, mobile charger and water. I did not dig in any deeper because of the mold.

So be warned if you suffer from any mold related allergies or illnesses.

Another stark display of late stage capitalism at its finest.

Samsung Gas Oven Starts Heating Up, Takes A Long Time, Then Emits Gassy Smell

I have a Samsung stove (I know). When I put the oven on Bake, set the temp to 375, it’ll start heating - I can hear the flames ignite and the temp goes up, but it’s very very slow. And by around 285, it seems like the flames go out and I get a gassy smell.

As it heats, I’m not hearing the usual clicking sounds. It all seems a little lackluster- less energy from the flames, if that makes sense.

The rest of the stove seems fine - stove top burners light up and burn as expected, broiler seems fine.

Any suggestions what the issue might be? Valve?

Thanks!!

Picked up a Bell & Howell Filmosound 1585C Projector - Any way to get bigger picture?

Hi!

As the title says: I found a decent condition Bell & Howell 1585C projector. I have a couple 16mm prints around but man the projected image is really small. I’d have to move the projector back like 20 feet to get a decent image size.

Are there other lenses I can get to help with this? Ideally I’d want the projector like 12 feet from the screen.
Or are there ways to configure the stock lens to zoom out like more modern projectors can? I’ve only found a focus option - no zoom/scale.

I’m pretty new to the world of 16mm film, so any help would be appreciated!!
