Would you buy?

2019 KTM 250SX bike comes with bill of sale but no title. Has 156 hours and has had the top end rebuilt but not sure on the exact hour mark. Owner won’t go a dollar below $3,500. Most of the ones I see within a few hours of me are 2016 or older and typically $3,000 some with title some without.

Thoughts on this 2017 KTM 250SX

What are your thoughts on this 2017 KTM 250SX with 113 hours. Owner has the title and has owned the bike for 2 years ago from a dealer for $6k. Owner was asking $3,500 but is firm on $3,200. Said he didn’t ride it near as much as he thought so it mostly sits but he’ll fire it and ride it around the block from time to time. Owner doesn’t seem to know much about maintenance history so he has no idea if the top end or anything has ever been rebuilt.

2008 KTM 250XC or 2017 KTM 250XCF

Option 1: 2008 KTM 250 XC 2 stroke $3,000. Appears to be in immaculate condition for the age. Bike comes with FMF exhaust, aftermarket rims and suspension. Owner is the second owner and has said he just rode it around with his younger kid and said that the original owner never raced it either and had a similar situation. The suspension is setup for a 250lb rider but he has the factory suspension. I’m not near that heavy so I’d have to swap it out. Owner has title. Owner is firm on price.

Option 2: 2017 KTM 250XCF 4 stroke $3,500. Appears to be in good shape other than the silencer. Bike comes with FMF titanium exhaust. Bike has 211 hours on it owner claims new piston and ring put in at 205 hours. Owner claims no leaks or issues and starts easy all the time. Owner believes he has bill of sale. Not sure if the owner is firm on price or not.

Edit: Guy with the 2017 said that he would go down to $3,000

Note: I plan on riding recreationally maybe doing some hare scrambles and trail races here or there. The hour seem to be getting a little high on the 2017 and I have no idea what condition the bottom end is in. I know the 4 stroke will be a lot smoother for the riding I plan on doing but not sure if that out weighs the fact the 2 strokes always seem more

Route 66 Easy Street Warranty

I bought the easy street Route 66 extended warranty for a 2020 F150 in October 2024. A year and a half later and about 15k miles put on the truck and it needs a new transmission. When I bought the truck it was certified pre-owned and it came leveled with 295/65r20 tires. The inspector went to the shop last Friday and confirmed the transmission needs replaced. Route 66 is saying they won’t cover it because of the extra stress from the level and tires. I was under the impression that since I bought it that way Route 66 would still cover it. Anything I can do/should do or am I SOL? Thank you.

Edit 1: The warranty was purchased through my credit union when I financed the purchase. They had the invoice of my truck and picture of my truck with showed the aftermarket tires

Exit 2: After some research on my own talks with my loan advisor and the warranty company we were able to get Route 66 to cover all the costs to replace my transmission but about $500
