Maple sushi reopened today. They are running a 10% off promotion. Thank God it’s back. I’ve been dying waiting for it to reopen.

I got merchandiser job at shoppers back in February and have worked pretty crappy hours. On average 3-4 per week since March with sometimes 3 week long breaks in between. The store management being their usually incredibly intelligent selves decided to hire more merchandisers instead of giving hours to people in the store like me who also work crappy hours. Now here’s my fear, am I gonna be fired now? I don’t want to be cuz I like working with my colleagues and the employee discount lol. My boss told me I can be chatty sometimes but I’ve cut back on it recently. They won’t teach me anything new either. I’ve been doing facing only. No talkers, not picklist nothing. Just facing the store. Any advice is appreciated thanks.

I’ve been a merchandiser at my current shoppers for about 6 months now and work shitty hours. One of post office people said that they would train me. This means I would get much more hours and most importantly money 😭. I’ve been hearing that you need thick skin and the people there are horrible to deal with. How cooked am I?

Any merchandiser or cashier been working crappy hours recently? My shoppers hasn’t made me work in 2 weeks and next week I only get 3 hours on a Friday. I heard coordinating who gets what hours is up to head office and I just wanna know if anyone is in my situation. Thanks

I have 6 months experience as a merchandiser at a store that barely gives me any hours. I was wondering if any managers or anybody could tell me if it is too late for me to apply to other stores? Should I just stick to my crappy store for now and wait until summer ends? Thanks for any advice.

I've been working at this shoppers for about 6 months and hate it there. The people are nice but I get like 3-4 hours a week. With summer coming up I need to make money and need alot more hours. The wings up at Keele and Major Mac was closed for a while and reopened recently. My dad, who doesn’t have Reddit forced me to do this. So anyone know why the closed down and reopened after so long? Thanks
