My summer annual arrived today. Nothing was broken. None of the 3 liquid products leaked.

I have posted when things go wrong so it’s only fair to let you all know when things go well.

This is not my favorite box for myself but I was able to get three perfect gifts for coworkers that I know they’ll love.

I’m the kind of person who likes to show my appreciation for others with thoughtful gifts so this box worked out for me better than I initially expected.

Im thinking of ending this subscription and trying beachly. I believe they are owned by FFF. My daughters will be at university in the fall. I’m kind of over the home goods and basic working mom stuff. I think I might get more enjoyment from a vacation/leisure focused subscription. Thoughts?

First of all, this is not a rant. Overall I know I got a great deal on these products. I know I’m lucky to have a disposable income to spend on beauty products. I’m happy to see that a lot of people were offered the ND palette and blush and the NARS quad. Amazing!

This month was worth the price but my Ipsy picks are lame. That Mario lip might be good but the color is not for me, definitely giving that away to a friend. I also think it’s that mousse texture. I tried that with ABH and it just feels weird on my lips. I got the Bisha powder too. I definitely do not need another loose powder. I have mature dry skin so a clay mask is likely to damage my barrier but I’ll do a patch test, maybe it will be fine. I like the YSL and the Ciele. I’m hard on brushes so Im always looking to pick up new brushes in the shop or add ons. I know they aren’t luxury level but I’ve been very pleasantly surprised with bushes in the shop.

I love Korres but that overnight mask wasn’t offered to me. I was able to get a sample of the perfume for 3.50 which is a fair deal for me because I’ve vowed to not do blind buys and they’ve had a couple fragrances in the shop.

I got the Rare beauty wash and lotion to give a friend for her birthday. I got a great deal on those and I know she’ll love them. I’m also giving her the Gisou oil and a Gisou lip gloss I got last month in add ons.

I usually have better luck with getting great makeup in this box and getting better Ipsy picks but I think it was my turn to get an “ok” box.
