Do I have a problematic overbite?

I tried measuring myself and seems to be 30-35% overlapping.

I'm at the end of my treatment (2.5yrs now) but two months ago I developed TMD (jaw has been locked for two months now but has 2 finger width opening so I can eat!). I can't start non invasive treatment (splint) until I get my braces off but I'm also anxious about my bite being wrong which is making the TMD worse. I heard overbite can especially exacerbate this. I don't think my ortho knows much about TMD because she tried to force my mouth open so I can't ask her 😭. She has also been wanting to take my braces off for months now (should have listened but I wanted to perfect some aesthetic changes).

I have also attached a photo of my bite on the first day of treatment so you can gage how ideal my teeth can actually look based on starting base. Please let me know if you think I'm ready to take it off in the next appointment (6 weeks for now. She isn't treating overbite). Ideally I really want it off if it's a non functional issue.

Ps she has also stopped treating using elastics as that was what caused my terrible flare ups until eventual lockjaw.

Thank you so much!

TDLR: is overbite an issue enough to keep braces on for longer. Want them off asap to start treatment for TMD

Orthodontist said i have the perfect bite?

They want braces off in a month.

This doesn't look good to me at all. It feels like one tooth is slightly sititng on top of the other but he said that was normal. And there is clear gapping as well???

First line of actionv

My tmj started being extremely bad about a month ago and 2 weeks ago was when it rapidly got worse after trying some jaw exercises- I got extreme pain on my left until eventually my jaw locked. It still is locked.

I went to a maxofacial/ oral surgeon less than a week ago as I thought maybe it was dur to wisdom teeth. He said to wait 2 weeks for them to unlock and get a splint after I get my braces off.

Well now I assume my braces will be delayed cos since the pain I've noticed a gap forming in my teeth (I have had braces for 2.5yrs it was meant to come off next month) and gap between my lower and upper teeth.

On top of that I have developed an exploding sharp pain in my ear every time I swallow plus stuffiness.

He has referred me to a tmj specialist, but I've also heard how physios are excellent with this too. On top of that because its affecting my ear so badly should i go to an ENT? Or should I wait a week more to see if the heat and neurofen work?

Thanks
