When are we finding the time to pump

My son is 9 weeks and omg is trying to stick to a pumping routine hard
He has exclusively breast milk and I can’t breastfeed him a lot of the time due to the fact I got such a bad oversupply and a fast flow/letdown

It’s like I see I should be doing it every 3-4 hours but it’s so hard to as he dosnt care and will jsut scream and cry or refuse to be put down
I’m just worried my supply would dip due to this

Am I doing something wrong?

So I have a 9 week old baby boy and one thing I noticed about him is that he loves his bath-time, he loves the water, getting washed and everything it really settles him however when I take him out the bath? Full melt down every single time

I don’t know what I’m suppost do to help prevent this, I give him his baths between 37-38 degrees, I take him out and wrap him in a towel straight away, dry, nappy, lotion and then get him changed and but the time I’m putting his nappy on he’s already screaming

I’m just wonder anyone got any tips I can use to make the transition more smoothly?

Game changer

Hey guys, my baby (4 weeks) has struggled to sleep during night, especially in his cot

We spent a lot of time co sleeping but with my partner being back in work it didn’t work the best for us anymore but whenever we put him in his cot he would be awake within 20 minutes

What helped? ‘Relaxing music with water sounds’ I honestly didn’t think it was going to do much but when I tell you I was able to get a good 3 hour stretch before his feed and get him back in his cot fed, changed and asleep in LESS THAN AN HOUR

Just sharing this for if any other parent/s have a baby who is struggling to sleep in their own bed at night. I use ‘1 hour relaxing music with water sounds meditation’ on Spotify by ‘sleepy baby (lullaby) and just put it on loop

Hope this helps someone :)

Struggle is real

I (19f) have been really struggling with my baby C (3w) since my partner (29M) has gone back to work. It just feels like the baby is constantly needing me and so I can’t do anything through the day. We are in the middle of a heatwave right now where I am (31) so I’m trying my best to make sure C don’t get overly upset and over heat himself and the only way to do that? Constantly holding him.

At the beginning i was EBF however once my milk came in properly it turns out my flow is way too fast for him and he ends up choking on it so I’ve now been pumping and bottle feeding him which is more time I have to spend with him put down cleaning bottles, pump, bagging milk, prepping bottles it’s just all so much.

Last night was the worst, my partner was working 3-11pm, baby started kicking off around 10pm odd and nothing was helping, been fed, changed, being held, walking about with him, walking outside as it was cooler. Nothing I just got so overwhelmed. Eventually me and my partner gave him a bath which helped, baby boy didn’t settle till around 1 and by that point I was so tired and done, I was in pain because I didn’t pump for 6 hours (was also not clean) and I was so tired I ended up sleeping as-well.

Woke up to him at around 7 as he wanted a feed, went downstairs to find out no bottles were clean or ready (my partner used the last one to feed him in the night after I fell asleep) so I’m there rushing to get a clean bottle ready for him, he took it and was happy. Good. Then went to go clean the other bottles (we have 5 total as I thought I was going to be EBF, I also wash and sterilise by hand) finally got around to pumping after being so uncomfortable and got 14oz in 30 minutes (during this all was running up and down stairs to settle the baby)

I don’t know what I’m suppose to do. To top it all off his mum lives here too and took a week off work (she only holds the baby when he’s nice and calm) so while I was downstairs trying to sort out the bottles she was going on to me about how my partner got ‘so stressed last night’ and how we need to ‘sort the bedroom today and get that chest of draws in’ bare in mind those draws have been in her room for months filled with her stuff so we couldnt of done it until she went through them.
Like sorry but just leave me alone, I’m tired, I’m stressed, I don’t know what I’m doing half the time and I don’t give a fuck about sorting out the room for a chest of draws at the moment.

Ugh, a question I have to bottle feeding mums is how many bottles should I have total? I got the MALM ones which go up to 5oz, he takes 3 1/2- 4oz every feed (3-4 hours)

Travelling with a baby

Hey guys! I’m currently 37 weeks pregnant but just had a question for all the parents here

When did you start taking your baby on long trips without worrying they may fall ill? My family is moving away from the area around 2-3 weeks after due date (about 3 hour drive, 4 hour train ride) so I was wondering from what age would I be able to travel down there with baby boy?

I know question may seem silly but I’m just worried about him getting sick before he gets all his shots and don’t want it to be because I took him on a long trip (expecally train ride)
