Quick question, I'm in the market for a body/stock/whatever my for Chinese Sks (Fab Defense specifically). I know that NY doesn't let you have any restricted features with a removable mag. Considering you can readily buy detachable mags that are over ten rounds for the Sks, would putting on a new chassis with the fixed Sks mag still be legal? I worry that having the fixed magazine be "easily modifiable" would make owning a chassis with a pistol grip or adjustable stock illegal. I'd rather not spend the money only to have a big hunk of plastic laying around.

For anyone who doesn't live in NY, the laws regarding assault rifles are that you are limited to a ten round mag, and if it's removable, you can't have a pistol grip, telescopic or adjustable stock, grips, or flash hiders/compensators/muzzle breaks. You can however have any of these features if your magazine is fixed. Considering I can't have a removable mag with a chassis like this (nor do I wanna add one) I assume this would be legal, but there's no definitive answer from NY state on it.
