Golden Majesty

Dark Infinity ©2025

I created this piece and I realized my mistake after I was ready to publish it. TIP: Never use reflections to close to a light source. Always add plenty of space in between, Since I wanted the piece darker, I created another.

Golden Majesty ©2026

I ditched the reflective planes and just duplicated the arches with the flames together, making the piece overall darker and not so infinite. This one took many hours to render to completion. at 4000x6000. I may do another render like the original, because I really did like the lighting. I just wasn't comfortable with how close the lighting effects were to the reflections.

Favorite Spacewalks

Cosmic Walkabout, Galactic Destination 1&2 ©2020

Wandering the eternal walkways that exist in between realities can be troublesome as time doesn't exist there. Everything is just happening all the time. The eternal waypoints that were put into existence eons ago allow interstellar travel. However, you must travel the in-between first, in order to get anywhere. That place in between has been called many names by many cultures. Sheol, the Middleverse, the Astral Realm, the Fifth Dimension. It is a place where the spirit world interacts with technology. A place where Grays, future astronauts, and other fantasy creatures all come together. A place where nearly all the laws of the "natural world" have no sway.

Cemetery of the Giants

Cemetery of the Giants ©2026

Deep off the western coast of Bermuda, a diving team was sent to investigate an anomaly in the path of new fiberoptic cables being laid down by a huge communication company. Just 12 meters beneath the water in what was believed to be a boulder infested sandbar lay the evidence of a massive graveyard. A graveyard of giants. Skulls were found to be of excess of 4 meters in diameter piled into great mounds on what later looked like a ceremonial place of worship. The cables were hence diverted, and the skulls were left to rest where they were, with promises to return in a few months with the right equipment and trained marine archeologists to investigate further. However, the months turned into years, and no one ever returned. Rumors spoken around every marina from Bermuda to the US mainland suggests that word got to the wrong people and the skulls and all traces of said graveyard were removed or destroyed. Getting people to forget all the weird stuff surrounding the Bermuda Triangle was tough when more and more stuff like this just keeps popping up.

Eternal Machinery

Eternal Machinery: Recharge ©2026

Eternal Machinery ©2020

I first created this at the end of 2020, but I sat on it because I didn't like the colors I originally had, so I very recently changed it. I changed the colors first, then panned the camera back and added a few extra reflective features and a new piece formed as a result. Which one did you prefer? Either way, Enjoy!

Memory Maxers

I had no choice but to render these detailed pieces as they were because I ran out of memory and couldn't add anything else. I literally took Bryce to the limits with these. There are assets from both Blender and Daz Studio.

Checkmate, Happy Holidaze

Here are some more recent Bryce pieces that I really enjoyed creating. I used Daz Studio for the human characters, and Blender for some of the more intricate models Bryce couldn't accomplish by itself. Some of these were extremely difficult to get a poster-size render to work without Bryce freezing due to the polygon count being too high. You have a threshold in Bryce you don't have in newer 3D programs like Blender, which is a different animal altogether.

Empty Waypoint

Hidden Waypoint ©2024

Everything but the massive door at the end was created in Bryce. The door was an asset created in Blender and imported into Bryce as an .obj file. The astronaut was an asset imported into Bryce via Daz Studio.

Empty Waypoint ©2026

This is a sequel to another piece of mine, Hidden Waypoint. The latest version I got rid of the blue glow around the door and ditched the astronaut for an emptier feeling. I changed the camera view and did some post coloring work via GIMP.

The t-shirt design at the end is awesome.

More Bryce Art

These are from decades ago, yet they were all created using Bryce and added assets from Poser-an older 3D program that focused on the human form. These are just several pieces from a massive gallery.

Some old school Bryce pieces.

I've been using Bryce for 26 years, and I am glad to see that the software is still being used despite it being discontinued back in 2013. Glad to find a new group that specializes in Bryce, because even though I have used the software for decades, I am still learning all the bells and whistles that I never bothered to use. Enjoy!

The Oil Can

I started with my ornate cabin and expanded it to include a small repair shop, complete with antennas, broken down robots, transports, radar dishes, etc. Suddenly it almost took on the form of a nightclub for robots. I was thinking about adding a podium with a robot bouncer, then I thought the better of it. My computer almost took a crap trying to finish this project, so by adding anything more to this was a risk. I might re-render this from different views too, as there is a story here best seen from different perspectives.

Sparky the Robocat

Introducing Sparky the Robocat.

Following the same design as Spike the Robo Dog, I felt I needed to delete the original tail and head from Spike and create Sparky in its place. The cat head by itself changed multiple times before I got it to look the way I wanted it. I changed his tail into an electrical cord, and gave him a cool plug and the end, too. Now my robots have companions. Perfect for the book I am writing. All these guys will be introduced in the book upon completion.

Spike the Robo Dog

This is Spike the Robo Dog. I figured all these robots I create need companions, after all. I originally was going for a cat, but he looked too much like a dog by the time I was done editing the muzzle. This thing came together in an afternoon. I know it's not really in order, but you can clearly see how I put this little guy together. I still have to work on the cat version now.

Buddy the Robot Breakdown

This was a new idea I was tinkering around with, so I brought the whole project to view as I created it. Now keep in mind, I am nothing short of someone who is STILL learning Blender. I had to put away everything I learned over the years using other software, in order to learn Blender exclusively. So far, I think I have done a fine job using what I have learned. If anyone has any pointers in order to make this better, however, feel free to leave a comment.

Radar Dish Breakdown

I've been creating a lot of science fiction art lately, and I really needed a radar dish or something of that equivalent. So, after scouring the internet looking at reference photos of such, I finally got to work on one. I have to say I am humbly impressed. Hope you like it.
