Has anyone tried Boswellic Acid at all? It's the active ingredient in Frankincense. It's super random, but I was REALLY into frankincense resin for a while as an incense. The more I read about it, the anti-inflammatory properties, the more I wondered how it would do with HS. I'm also brand new to this HS thing and seemed to develop it later than most, I'm 46. So, the other day, I had a flare up, and decided to experiment. I made some frankincense water with the resin and drank a ton of it. The next day, I noticed a significant decrease in the size of my cyst and the pain, along with the smell of the discharge. Now, I'm not sure if it's just a placebo effect, but it seemed to help.

I will preface this by saying I've made frankincense water in the past, and enjoy it, and you have to use boswellia sacra or frereana, but just thought I'd ask if anyone else used it?

Also, I did find online for the first time a mention of boswellic acid and not using them with nsaids. I'm not a doctor nor am I on any meds at the moment.
