Beak
Our pigeon is a 7 year old that we rescued from a supermarket as a fledgling. We hand reared her and now as an adult she can no longer fly from nerve damage that she sustained from laying eggs. She is only small and really struggled with laying. It would make her so ill. She has finally stopped laying egg but since being a fledge she has had a beak problem that means it never stops growing. We have to trim it regularly which is incredibly painful for her. A vet at the London Animal Hospital told us it is because she was undernourished and deficient as chick. Is there a nutrient that we could give her to stop the beak growing? She has grits, Avipro, VL sneaky mix, rocket, broccoli etc
