I recently bright home a bengal kitten and I knew I wanted to use a litter robot and had gotten one a month prior, I got her acclimated in one day and I think these tips could help anyone trying to get a kitten acclimated to using it. For context she previously was using pine pellet litter before she came home with me.

1.) When I brought her home, I put her right in the litter box first so she could explore her new space with the litter box being her reference point. She was curious and then explored the rest of her space. Every 2 hours I would put her in the litter box to reinforce it, and I gave her treats.

2.) She had dinner with me and was drinking water and I was concerned she hadn’t used her litter box yet(expected in a new environment) and so I sat with her in my bathroom where it is playing a bit. After 10ish minutes she went in and used it, as soon as she came out i praised her and gave her a treat, I then cycled it and we watched it together.

3.) The next day when I woke up I saw she had used it again so I sat with her and cycled it manually again. Through the day she used it more and when I saw her use it I would give her a treat afterwards along with play and praise.

Now a week later she has no issues or accidents and is totally comfortable with it. I am so happy she took to it and she seems to enjoy it. I just wanted to share my experience for anyone who may be acclimating a new kitten.

I finally was able to pick up this baby today. I knew she was the one instantly when I visited her litter. It is so nice seeing her play the toys I bought for her 2 months ago haha. I love how playful and fun she is. I’m really surprised how well she adapted to me as well as her new home. She will be going on lots of adventures with me soon. (Also any advice on harness training would be appreciated)
