The government of Arabtonia officially announced today that the use and trade of Bitcoin is now illegal within the empire, citing economic and security concerns.

In its official statement, the government said:

“Imagine a city where every citizen uses money that the authorities cannot see. No banks, no central records, and no institution capable of fully tracking or controlling the movement of funds. The statement explained that some governments around the world fear cryptocurrencies for several reasons, including:

Difficulty tracking transactions and collecting taxes.

Potential use in illegal activities because of decentralized systems.

Loss of control by central banks over the money supply.

Extreme price volatility that may threaten economic stability.

Concerns that digital currencies could weaken traditional financial systems.

Arabtonia’s Ministry of Economy stated that traditional economies rely on banks and central authorities to monitor and regulate financial activity, while Bitcoin operates through a global decentralized network that no single government fully controls.

The statement also noted that many governments see cryptocurrencies as a direct challenge to their financial authority, especially if large numbers of people begin using them instead of national currencies.

The announcement concluded with the phrase: “Money that the state cannot see… is money the state cannot regulate.”
