Integrating Tridium with Dahua DSS

Hi all,

We've been asked to integrate around 40 Dahua CCTV cameras via Dahua DSS into a BMS platform.

At the moment, the customer's specification is quite vague, so I'm not entirely clear on what level of integration they're expecting. Are they looking to display live camera feeds within the BMS, or are they simply expecting alarm and status monitoring from the CCTV system?

Personally, displaying live video through the BMS seems like a less-than-ideal approach, as I'd imagine the Dahua DSS software would provide a much better user experience for viewing and managing cameras than anything available within Tridium.

I have a meeting later today which should hopefully clarify the requirements, but in the meantime, has anyone carried out a similar integration with Dahua DSS? If so, what functionality was implemented and how straightforward was it?

The customer has provided some documentation, but to be honest, much of it is difficult to interpret without a clearer understanding of what they're actually trying to achieve.

Thanks in advance.

Megane E-Tech Vs Cupra Born

Hi folks,

Work is getting me a company car, even though I do long trips and I rent so don't have home charger I opted for an EV due to the savings in BiK.

My budget is £15k and I would like the car to be 2022 or later, less than 50k miles and since I'm doing quite a few long trips for work range is pretty important.

On that budget I am realistically looking at the above 3 options and maybe a VW ID3(2022). Which one would you pick ?

My personal preference is the megane e-tech, but I don't mind the cupra either. MG4 and iD3 are also options but don't particularly want a Chinese car(especially since I'm not using my own money to buy) and the iD3 just looks like a worse version of the cupra.

As title suggests I have an issue where my graphics are quite slow to load. There is nothing massively complicated with them but they still take ages to load.
I have heard it could be something to do with the whole Ux and HX but if I'm honest I never got my head around what UX and HX is.

Any advice as to what I should be checking?

My partner is learning how to drive and now that she's had a few lessons I'm thinking it would be good to take her out for driving lessons in my own car, so she can learn quicker and save a bit of money.

I don't yet feel comfortable enough to take her out on streets so I was thinking some sort of empty parking lot or something along those lines. At least until I'm more confident of her driving skill

I'll obviously have learners insurance for her and plates

Got a site with quite a few Trend IQ2's, replacing one of these controllers with (hopefully) an Isma MAC36. Trying to find a full Niagara solution as I want to avoid anything to do with Trend, but the customer is asking if we can pick up some points from one of these Trend controllers. Have done this many times in the past using the Tyrrell Trend IP driver but the issue is that because all the controllers on site are IQ2's there is only a current loop going around and I don't thin there's a single EINC to convert current loop to ethernet. My question is do I bite the bullet and buy an IQ412 for the sole purpose of concerting current loop to ethernet or do you guys have another solution for this?
