Hey everyone, hoping someone can help me out.

I’m a US citizen and my passport book is currently being renewed. I still have my passport card (not renewing it), expires June 2027.

Question 1: Can I as a US citizen use my passport card to cross into Canada by land/car while my passport book is in renewal?

Question 2: My kids are under 16. Can they cross into Canada by land with just their birth certificates? Or do they need anything additional?

We’re driving, not flying. Any recent experiences appreciated. Thanks!
