Had the more “correct” 2.5-10x24 on the MK12 for a long time, but man does having a little more glass on it really highlight how well it shoots.

The 1.93 mount for the NX8 solves most of the gripes I had with it, a solid little scope.

The 9mm got put together for short range carbine matches our local club puts on. Basically IDPA style stages with lots of tight leans shoulder transitions.

I was never a fan of distressed finishes until I saw Nighthawk’s smoked nitride on their Colthawk guns. Tried my hand at duplicating the finish on my melonited Tisas Stakeout. Went at it with a 3000 grit stone, a sanding sponge, and steel wool until I got the desired effect.

I’m pretty happy with the results.
