Modded Harley Benton TE-62 DB

So I got this HB tele as a b-stock and I always wanted to have a p90 and humbucker tele.

I don't have the tools to route the body properly, so I hand routed it with a dremel with a teeny tiny router bit. It took forever and I can't recommend it but it turned out fine 👌.

I ordered the pickguard from earlpilanz on ebay. He makes pickguards that fit harley bentons. On the neck route I also need to remove some wood to fit the p90.

I made my own decal and put it on the headstock. I think Im allowed since it's pretty unique 😅. I do wonder why though. The p90 humbucker combo is soooooo great!

Electronics are: tonerider vintage 90 in the neck, tonerider ac4 in the bridge. Alpha pots 500k with 50's wiring. I kept the cheap 3 way switch since it's actually pretty good!

I love the beck on these te-62s. I have another one in shell pink 😎. Real good value for money!

Harley Benton TE-62 DB

So I impulse bought another te-62... I have had the pink one for about 3 years now and I really like it. Especially the neck. It's the perfect profile for me.

I bought a black b stock te-62 with the double binding. I put on the mint green pickguard from the pink te-62 and it looks soooooo much better than the white one it comes with!

Im not a fan of the stock pickups so I will change them out for Toneriders or something. Im also very impressed with the fret work of the black one. They came super polished and not a single high fret to be seen. On the pink one I did have to do some fret work. Maybe I'm lucky, maybe they upped their game recently.

In my opinion they compete with the player 2 series but for less than the price of a squier sonic 👌. It's a no brainer!

Harley Benton sc 550 II

This guitar is flawless!

So this thing offers everything Gibson and Epiphone cant:

- 60's neck with a vollute

- rosewood fingerboard

- chambered body (it weighs 3.2kgs!!)

- stainless steel frets

I changed the original Tesla pickups for Epiphone Alnico Classic Pro's. Not that the Tesla pickups are rubbish, quite the contrary! I just dig the look of uncovered pickups more. Also, between the tesla's and the Epiphone ACP's, there not much in it. Maybe the Tesla bridge pickup is a little hotter, but other than that these are both super clear and chimey.

I bought this B-Stock for 265 euro... Can't believe the quality. Easily the best HB I ever bought!!
