I'm back with a blended cocktail that would be at home on most major cruise lines sailing the Caribbean.
This mango melon colada features a healthy dose of spice between the layers.
Miniverse ingredients used were mango and avocado resin combined with shaved ice and a little bit of coconut milk resin. The garnish and spice layer were from the mango fruit cup.
Today Amazon delivered 24 pieces of miniature "glassware" (12. Individual pieces x2). It looked a lot like the Michaels Creatology Whipped Wonders sweet glasses that they sold briefly last year and never restocked. However, for a couple of pieces the size is just slightly bigger. Maybe a quarter of an inch in width. Plus they used taller stems on the "glassware"
Overall, I think it was an excellent purchase at $9.59 for 24 pieces and I am providing pictures for scale. Most photos show comparable mini-verse pieces. The two that do not have a miniverse glassware comparison, (my Dubai Sundae creation & and the princess cake slice I crafted separately) are part of the Michael's set from last year. Seeing that they use mini-verse ingredients and look very close to Miniverse scale, it should give you a good idea of what this set offers you.

I am absolutely loving the non-resin materials in the from scratch appliance series 3 that I recently snagged through Amazon Haul. Does anyone know what these substances are? It's clearly not liquid sculpey because you would have to bake it.

This is my second posting in what I am dubbing my "fantasy happy hour series 2 creations". These are cocktails I would love to see in a series 2 but I doubt we are ever getting one.
Presenting the strawberry basil smash. I'm not sure if everyone else has the same hoard of tiny strawberries from many miniverse projects, but I am always looking for ways to use them up!
I think the writing is on the wall. We are never getting another happy hour series, especially with all the blowback Mini Brands is currently receiving for "adult content" in their miniatures.
Over the last few weeks I have thought about what I would love to see in a series 2 after someone posted their bloody Mary remix. So for the next 7 to 10 days I will be posting my fantasy Happy Hour 2 creations.
Today's creation is probably not something MGA would do but Pousse Cafe drinks are so much fun, especially when using resin! I present the red, white and blue shots.
Inspired by your local tourist trap that probably sold you drinks that were more high fructose corn syrup than actual alcohol, with an octopus wearing a "worse for the wear" Dollar Tree Uncle Sam's hat.
I snagged four made from scratch appliances when Amazon had them on haul last week and was thrilled to get no duplicate & the deep fryer with the french fries.
I like to know what I'm working with before I start the process. What exactly am I dipping the fries into? Is it two-part epoxy? Something else? I tried searching this subreddit but did not find anyone providing this info.

2 weeks ago I pulled my puppy pop graffiti bag out of storage for the first time in 10 years. Honestly I think the last time I used it was a few months over the summer I bought it (2012). The bag was stored in my closet inside of a fabric lined box & lid.

Over the last 2 weeks the bag has deteriorated significantly. First the gold is flaking everywhere. Anytime I move the bag I leave a trail of gold behind me. Second, with only four items in the bag, the handles are starting to crack and break where they meet the main bag.

Is this bag beyond rehab? I don't even know how I would begin to fix the gold areas.

Ice sculpture bar is made with various resin molds and the lifestyle seashell vase mold plant material is from bits of artificial flowers from Dollar tree (bought many years ago)

I'm kicking myself for not saving more of the shrimp from the shrimp cocktail a couple of series ago because then I could have made it a cold bar and used a larger base with more "props"

However, now I have a goal for a future project! 😄
Just a couple of small changes to this kit. For the top layer I added a purple rose UV tint to make the layer change more prominent . Then I added sprinkles from another set. I can't recall they are from but I know they are most likely from a ice cream waffle bowl!

This isn't quite a remix but maybe best called a "riff" on the hummus platter from cafe series 5.
I added some of the almonds and pistachios from MGA real brands. Then I sliced up some of my leftover boba pearls to make them look more like olives.
I used the silicone ice tray from the butterfly pea flower tea and some clear resin to make the feta squares. They were painted with Dollar Tree.white nail polish.
Roasted red pepper pieces were made using a red glue stick and piping out the shapes. Then they were painted on the edges with a mixture of black acrylic and mod podge to make them look charred.
It has been forever since I shared anything in this subreddit! After several months of not making any new kits I've been working through my backlog this week.

You worked late and your 4-year-old is demanding food on the way home from daycare. So you pull into your local hamburger fast food joint and get them their favorite meal: a small cheeseburger with a side of apple slices and a licensed character toy to play with. They ordered a fruit punch and, of course, drank half of it before you even got home.

I'm in the Chicago area. I have three Walmarts and four Targets within a 15 -20 minute drive (about a 10 mile radius).
Every time I check both of their apps they tell me no stores in my area have stock. This is wild to me, especially seeing the Walmart app displays stores that are up to 20 miles away from me and even they do not have stock.
Allegedly Walgreens also stocks this series but I've never been to a store that actually had it available. Every time I've visited the three stores closest to me, it's been Cafe series 5 on the shelves.
Finally, I have a couple of Meijer stores in my area. Today I went to the closest one, about 8 mi from my house, because their website said they had series 6 in stock. I have to give them credit because they have the cleanest aisle I have ever seen when it comes to miniverse. I went through every box there and there wasn't a single series 6 capsule to be found. Plenty of animals, shoes, treats, SpongeBob, and two boxes of Cafe series 5. Also they were all perfectly sorted, not a single capsule in an. Incorrect display box.
Where the heck is series 6?? I do not like ordering online because I only look for specific items within each series and use the cheat codes.
I have seen a lot of posts about "Network Enhancements" but I haven't seen one that covers my specific issue.
Last week Xfinity let me know that Network enhancements would be happening on Monday and that they would start in the early morning and our internet might be down for that day.
It was down for about 4 hours and then we got a message that was back up.
Later that night I got a new text message saying that it would be down again tomorrow for network enhancements.
This pattern has been repeated everyday this week.
I am disabled and work a part-time job from home. My network is down EVERYDAY for about 4 hours starting between 6:00 and 7:00 a.m.
This is outrageous! Completely unacceptable to cut off Wi-Fi during working hours for almost the entire week.
Worst customer service ever.
