Fact finding post on salvage title vehicle

EDIT: First photo was from salvage auction, second photo is from the seller. The truck has been previously repaired.

How bad of an idea is this salvage 2024 Lariat with under 20k miles. Mostly wondering the potential for issues with this specific vehicle with this level of damage. I do see a sensor that would have been replaced on the bumper.

History:
I have had good luck with titled vehicles in the past to save a good chunk of money when buying a vehicle to run up on miles.

This is just a fact finding mission for this vehicle that I am not familiar with. It is less than $19k and a tempting proposition, but I am far from sold on it yet.

Also waiting for more details and photos for it as well, so I don’t have a ton more information. I do expect a lot of comments being very caution focused as well, and I understand the risks.

Thanks!

Viper 5 button two way remote failure - model 7857V will not charge/ blinking orange when charging

Former GS agent and we always had Viper remote start remotes fail. Normally the issue was the battery would not charge and when plugged in a a slow blinking orange light. We used to just PRC the remotes and warranty them out when we had installed the system.

Now after not working there and two years after my install my remote did this issue. I was always told the battery was soldered on and to not attempt repairs.

Well that was horse shit. It’s a plug in 100mah battery. After a few years of careless dropping seems like they just become slightly unplugged.

Open the case but loosening the one screw and prying around the seem (a butter knife would work). Then press the battery connector back in.

Making this pose because I have never been able to find someone talking about this. Wish I had done this on the probably 4 remotes I have had to change out for myself.
