I have a C&P exam scheduled for this upcoming Monday. It’s for Basel Cell Carcinoma and Rosacea. I am confused on how the appointment will go for the BCC, since I still haven’t had my Mohs Surgery for it. The VA is dragging their feet on getting me scheduled for it or sent to community care to have it removed. Is this going to affect my C&P negatively? Specially since I can’t even give the C&P examiner dates or times on when they will remove it, since my Dr doesn’t seem to want to add my diagnosis to my records or send it off my results to the dermatology department, being I sent her the results on the 21st. I can show the examiner all my emails to the VA regarding getting the Mohs surgery.
(I wish I could afford to just use my insurance to have it removed.)
The BCC should be presumptive due to the Pact act and Terra. I filed it as a Cancer of the head or neck

So I was recently diagnosed having BCC (basal cell carcinoma) with a spot on my face that needs removal. I submitted a claim for it, assuming I got it from the burn pits in Iraq, that I was exposed to.

I ended up getting diagnosed from a non VA dr because they couldn’t get me seen fast enough at the VA. The VA submitted photos of it to a dermatologist who said they wanted me biopsied within a month. But then they couldn’t schedule me for one until some time in June, and this was back in February. So I used Tricare and went to a Non VA dermatologist.

Should I have the Mohs Surgery done through the VA in order to help me with my claim? I have a combat related injury at 80% (84), so they would provide my treatment for free, vs me having to pay a deductible from Tricare. I am sure the VA would probably take awhile for me to be seen as well. And I am worried that they wouldn’t care as much about my scaring vs if I was to go to a Non Va dr. And wether or not this would affect my claim. I am just struggling trying to decide what my best option would be. Advice will be great fully appreciated. Thanks
