Does anyone else feel like their vision is “off” despite having 20/20?

I’ve had 20/20 vision my whole life with my yearly eye doctor visit only revealing that I have a mild astigmatism and that my near vision may someday deteriorate to the point of needing reading glasses, but otherwise I don’t wear glasses or any other vision correctors. That said this past year I’ve felt like my vision is sort of… off? It’s so hard to explain. It feels like I’m seeing double but I’m not actually seeing double if that makes sense. I can focus on an object and see fines details. I can read fine print without issue. And yet it constantly feels as if the edges are transparent in one eye, like the image from each eye isn’t lining up properly, even though it objectively is. I realize that sounds insane but I can’t think of how else to describe it. Almost like my brain is struggling to keep the image from each eye overlapped, like it’s just barely able to accomplish it?

I realize going on Reddit for things like this can lead to a spiral of health anxiety but I’m genuinely curious if this is something people with binoculars vision disorders experience or if maybe I just somehow got hyper aware and fixated on vision and it’s always been like this. Has anyone felt similar to this before?

This is sort of a weird question so apologies in advance. For quick context, I’m planning to visit my dad who lives in northern Arkansas up in the mountains sort of in the middle of nowhere. It’s one of those places where you have to drive like 40 minutes just to get to a grocery store. He’s taken up beekeeping because he’s retired and bored, and he’s enthusiastic about it but has had some minor trouble with the bees being a bit aggressive, stinging sometimes when he’s not even near the hives and just doing chores or whatever. He’s been stung several times and handles it fine, but my grandfathers on both sides of my family were very allergic to bees. I’ve never been stung by a bee (had a few wasp stings in my life but not many), and I’m a bit concerned what could happen if I get stung and my body reacts to it. Like, if I become anaphylactic that requires pretty fast medical attention and I’m not sure that will be available up where he lives. It’s a fairly small property so I can’t avoid them entirely though I’ll certainly be careful.

My question is how concerned should I be about this situation? I know it seems a bit silly to be worried about an allergic reaction I’ve never had before, but I think it’s that it was an issue with my grandparents and the fact that my dad is so remotely located. I know over the counter antihistamines don’t do much for severe reactions, but would it help to make sure I’ve got Zyrtec in my system while I’m visiting since I have it anyway for pollen allergies? Just looking for general perspective or advice I guess!
