Here’s a Libertad you don’t see every day!

This unusual piece features the 1990 100,000 Pesos Plutarco E. Calles pattern design struck directly over a genuine 2012 1oz BU Silver Libertad.

Because the pattern dies are smaller than the Libertad host, much of the original 2012 Libertad remains visible around the outer edge on both sides, making for one seriously wild overstrike!

PCGS thought the strike and finish were so strong that it graded it as a Proof 68 Deep Cameo. 🤯

A fascinating crossover between Mexican pattern coinage and the Libertad series, and definitely one of the more unusual Libertad-related pieces in the collection. 🇲🇽
