Wacom or XP-Pen?

Currently using a Huion Kamvas 22 Plus and overall it’s been okay, but there are a few things that have been bothering me enough that I’m thinking about upgrading.

Main issues are:

  • I constantly have to reopen the driver and reset the work area
  • Pen pressure occasionally stops working randomly
  • General driver annoyance over time

I work as a freelance artist and also use Live2D professionally, so stability and drawing feel are really important to me.

22 inches feels fine on my desk, but I feel like having a slightly bigger working area could be more comfortable for longer work sessions.

Right now I’m mainly considering:

  1. Wacom Cintiq Pro 22 €3354
  2. Wacom Cintiq Pro 27 €3,915
  3. XP-Pen Artist Pro 24 Gen 2 (165Hz) €849.15
  4. XP-Pen Artist Pro 27 €1899

I’m also wondering if I should just go straight to a 27-inch display instead.

The biggest deciding factor honestly is price.

I keep hearing that Wacom has the best pen feel and overall drawing experience, but it’s hard to find non-sponsored opinions about the newer XP-Pen displays. Most reviews feel like ads.

So I’d really love to hear from people with long-term experience:

  • Is Wacom actually worth saving up for?
  • Or are newer XP-Pen displays already “good enough” for professional work?
  • How’s the driver stability and long-term reliability?
  • Any regrets going bigger than 22”?

Would really appreciate advice from artists who use these daily for illustration/animation/Live2D work.

[32F] Taiwanese living near Venlo, looking for new friends

Hoi allemaal! 👋

Hi! I’m Lynnie, a Taiwanese girl who has been living near Venlo in Limburg.

I realized I’ve spent way too much time staying at home being a cozy introvert, so I want to start experiencing more of life here in the Netherlands and meet new people 🤗

Looking for new friends here, any age, gender, or nationality is welcome
Mostly hoping to meet more female friends, but guys are welcome too
Would love friends to try restaurants, visit markets, language exchange or gaming sometimes

A little about me:
🌿 Into Korean skincare & learning makeup
🌿 Cozy gamer (mostly co-op games like Stardew Valley, REPO, Phasmophobia, LOL etc.)
🌿 Recently started weight training (6+ months so far!)
🌿 Currently trying to learn Dutch… langzaam maar zeker 😆
🌿 Happy to do language exchange if you want to learn Chinese
🌿 Love exploring restaurants, especially Asian food

There’s also a new Taiwanese dessert shop in Düsseldorf that I really want to try someday 👀

Feel free to send me a DM if you think we’d get along 😊
