Balcony tomatoes in nz (Waikato)

Hey all. New to Hamilton & NZ and was thinking I might use my balcony to grow a dozen cherry tomatoes. Its not a huge space but wide enough for several long/round planters, and it gets all day sun in the summer.

I was thinking of getting seedlings in spring and some stakes/tomato food and seeing how i go at lowering my grocery bill.

Just wondering if anyone can let me know when is good planting time here, and if anyone has done this before and has some advice or tips about balcony tomatoes (cherry) id love to hear them!

Thanks

A budding green thumb!

Starter question about building up

Hey, so im new to the game but been dying to play for ages. I'm coming to grips with the lack of space and the idea of stacking things but can i ask how yall go about building up? Say housing or warehouses, particularly where the entrance is off the ground. Are there building techniques that help place several high without having to build multiple staircases out and around with paths joining them.

Seems almost like building up and connecting takes up more 'support' space than if i just lined them up in a row.

Im guessing there are ways that you use to utilise spiral stairs or multi-purpose platforms as secondary roadways but not quiiiiite sure how to put it into place?

Any suggestions or tips would be much appreciated!

Help navigating WINZ, or advocacy services?

To keep a long story short, I'm currently unemployed. I also have a stack of health issues that I normally pay for. I am trying to get help from WINZ to cover some of these costs. I have applied for disability support but been knocked back but without clear rationale.

Thats fine, I get that there are rules, however the expenses are still there and still medically needed, and I'm obviously applying for the wrong type of support.

Does anyone know of a group who helps navigate the multitude of WINZ forms or can provide advice on actual entitlements? I find that its very hard to know what i actually can apply for as information at the counter/on the phone seems to be very limited. e.g. i was told to apply for disability support, but then denied disability support, so not sure what I'm supposed to do next?

Any ideas/help appreciated
