Hollywood Bowl Recording?
Is OneRepublic releasing an official recording of their shows at the Hollywood bowl this fall? It looks like they’re showing professionally recorded clips from the concert on social media.

No disrespect to him, he was a solid driver but I never remember him ever winning a televised show. Did he ever?
Roger and Bert listening to Duck and selling to PPL really was the beginning of the end. If you follow the aftermath of this, it eventually leads to them getting absorbed by McCann. No one’s life was better as a result of this sell, in fact for many it was the opposite.
Do you think they’re even considering a 25th anniversary tour? Maybe play 10 songs from SAJ and another 10-12 of their newer hits? I know they’ve always been forward thinking and that’s lead to their longevity and a crazy number of hit songs, but after Love Is Like performed as poorly as it did, it might make sense to do something like this. I’m sure there’s a ton of people that would love hearing some deep cuts from SAJ played live. Since 2014 the only songs from SAJ they’ve played on tour are the singles - Harder to Breathe, This Love, Sunday Morning, and She Will Be Loved (They’ve played played Secret and The Sun at private concerts twice each in that time, but not on an actual tour. They played Tangled twice on tour in 2020 and then took it off the setlist). Their latest music hasn’t been successful, the setlist has gotten stale, and early 2000s nostalgia is definitely a thing. Seems like a move this would be great for their career and something the fans would love!
Maroon 5 recorded a music video that was never officially released (you can find it online) before recording the one that was officially released and relatively successful. Does anyone know why they re-recorded the She Will Be Loved music video? I think it’s a cool video. Obviously the original version is a lot less elaborate than the 2nd one that was officially released. Did the label not want to spend as much money at first, and make a cheaper video? Did they record it before This Love took an off, and once it hit top 5 the label was willing to spend more on a video and capitalize on the band’s momentum? It’s worth noting the official She Will Be Loved video was by far the most elaborate the band had done to that point, the videos for Harder to Breathe, This Love, and the original She Will Be Loved video are overall much simpler than most of their videos since.
There are drivers who finished higher in the point standings that are either not in the World Finals at all or are in the last chance qualifier. Is it simply nepotism? I’m not trying to sound rude but her performance the last several years has clearly been the worst out of all the Grave Diggers. Without her they’d still have 4 Grave Diggers in the World Finals.
Fall Out Boy once were very relevant on the charts. They experimented with outside songwriters to chase radio relevance in the 2010’s, but after their 2018 album underperformed, they seemed to accept that their peak as a Top 40 act was over. Instead of chasing trends, they doubled down on what they love. The result? So Much (for) Stardust (2023) — a rich, creative album that both the band and their fans genuinely adore. They led with an almost five-minute lead single that was anything but radio-friendly, and on tour they’ve completely refreshed the setlist, packing it with deep cuts and surprise songs every night.
They’ve embraced exactly where they are in their career, and it shows. They’re having fun — and it feels authentic.
Maroon 5, on the other hand, seems to be fighting their slide from pop culture relevance every step of the way. They said their last album was a “back to our roots, we wrote everything ourselves” return… but it wasn’t that at all, songwriters were used on every song. It still came across as another calculated attempt at chasing the charts. On tour they play the same setlist every night, don’t play any of the new songs because they flopped, and refuse to play any deep cuts.
Fall Out Boy has accepted the natural evolution of a long career. I wish Maroon 5 would do the same. They’ve had enough they’ll still be able to fill arenas. I wish they’d make the best album they can make with no attempt at more hits, and have fun with the setlist on tour and do something their long time fans would appreciate like Fall Out Boy has done.
