This has probably been talked about to death by now but I've been a fan for like a year and a half now and after going through almost all their discography, I gotta say that the lyricism has gotten much simpler.

DOL and Waking Up have such depth to the songs, even the ones that appear more simple. Yet, the more recent albums, especially AP, are very watered down. Like my favorite album is Human but even there there's a lot of repetition and less significance on half the songs.

Anyone have an idea as to what happened? Cause I don't think it was the pop rock switch cause even then with Native that drive is still there and select tracks in recent years have it.

When it first got uploaded i guess there was some mistakes with the mixing and they uploaded a new version that fixed it but who else misses the first version? For example i rlly liked the more uncut guitar riff around the end of missing persons 2

So I wanted to find a song that the lead vocalist did way back years ago.. I remember Ryan Tedder made a song something about the topic of new world, environment, hope, or peace.. but I don’t quite remember much of the title or how it goes.. I just remember that I used to listen to it back in 2012-2013 on my sony ericsson phone… I tried to google and search for those key words but I failed to find any..

I remember it was his name and Im sure becuase I have a huge crush on him way back then and it was the time when the song apologize, secrets were being played over and over again on MTV and it was the time I found out that’s his name.. I think he did that song solo and not with the band.. I’m so curious why I have been listening to it over and over before and I wanted to look up and search it.. I couldn’t quite remember the lyrics or the melody but I just know its something about peace or new beginnings/world or about the environment..

EDIT: I found it!! Had to use chat gpt to narrow down the search lol it’s one of his unreleased/demo songs titled: “The World I knew” I might’ve been wrong about the description but there’s the word world in it! Lol IDK why I keep listening to that song back then it was seriously on repeat on my playlist before
