First minis painted after more than twenty years (Empire)
So, as a follow-up to me fawning over the arrival of my Empire MTO from last November, I finally used the dreadful heat and the fact that one really couldn't do much of anything to finally put some paint to pewter again. I was pretty much done with Warhammer back after the original "Storm of Chaos" and the start of 7th edition for reasons that many have already commented on over the years, so I was a bit hesitant, but while I am still not 100% pleased and see lots of room for improvement, this worked out much better than I had anticipated. The WHQ Imperial noble is my army general from back in the day and works as a reference point for comparison. He's also the poster for why I probably won't be painting any eyes, though those on the Reiksguard knight didn't turn out too bad. We'll see. And yes, the wizard will get some real basing. Just couldn't way to see him standing on some green 😁Anyway, here they are, nothing too fancy, but a quite satisfying first effort.
