Middenheim State Troops

Greetings brothers and sister of Ulric, Taal and Sigmar! My obsession with painting hordes of Empire Infantry continues with another regiment of State Troops on the way. 15 down, 15 to go….

Empire Halberdier

Finally finished! I started this for the Olden Demon competition (and got commended), but didn't find the time to complete it until now.

Middenheim halberdiers

Snow finally arrived in Middenheim, so Adolphus, Helmut, Kurt & Wilfred motivated their friend Emil "I'm too old for this" Emilsen to pose together, bringing a bit of colour and pride to the Middenheim citizens passing by.

Got my hands on the perfect capstone to my Middenheim army: Vorn Thugenheim!

I've never been super enthused by the current BSB options so when I discovered this guy exists, I had to get him! FOR ULRIC!

First minis painted after more than twenty years (Empire)

So, as a follow-up to me fawning over the arrival of my Empire MTO from last November, I finally used the dreadful heat and the fact that one really couldn't do much of anything to finally put some paint to pewter again. I was pretty much done with Warhammer back after the original "Storm of Chaos" and the start of 7th edition for reasons that many have already commented on over the years, so I was a bit hesitant, but while I am still not 100% pleased and see lots of room for improvement, this worked out much better than I had anticipated. The WHQ Imperial noble is my army general from back in the day and works as a reference point for comparison. He's also the poster for why I probably won't be painting any eyes, though those on the Reiksguard knight didn't turn out too bad. We'll see. And yes, the wizard will get some real basing. Just couldn't way to see him standing on some green 😁Anyway, here they are, nothing too fancy, but a quite satisfying first effort.

🧭🗺️

The great map of the New World of the Warhammer universe, divided into two large assembled maps, that of Naggaroth and Ulthuan and that of Lustria, made on private commission by a great lover of Warhammer Fantasy Rpg! The final map was created with a size of 1 meter by 45 cm... one of the largest maps we have ever made so far! It was really fun to work on and we are very happy that it is part of a much larger project! We really hope you enjoy it!😊🗺🧭

Materials Used: H-HB pencil, Unipin Pen 0.05-0.1, and Winsor and Newton watercolors on Fabriano 300 g satin paper then scanned.

Nuln Veteran Outriders + Pistoliers

Finally had a chance to paint up some of my Outriders for my Nuln + Wissenland army. Joining them are a couple of Pistoliers/Road Wardens too.

Praise Sigmar

I find the bigger things more fiddly to paint, but enjoyed this one.

Rule question concerning prayers

Men and women of the Empire - if a Lector or Priest is in combat at the start of your command phase, can they use any of their prayers or only the “assailment” prayer (as they are in combat)?

I can’t find confirmation in the Rulebook anywhere. I’ve been house ruling it as “no” unless it’s the Assailment prayer, but just wondered, as the re-rolls would be useful in a second combat round.

Engineer on a mechanical steed

My engineer who I’ve just finished painting, in the yellow and red colours of Talabecland.

Trying to improve my painting, so any comments or tips would be appreciated.

Carroburg Troops card art

Art by Bradley Williams. Source

Card Carroburg City Garrison used for Warcry CCG.

Not sure if they are meant to be Greatswords or Duelists. I assumed only the Greatsword regiment wore the blood red uniforms?

Halberd #1, 3 and 4

Three other soldiers that I finished recently. Already bought a new set of snow base materials, so after another model it will be time to go back to these three and number 2, to add some proper middenheim snow under their boots!
