Looking for Ideas

Hi all! I’m on a committee for Activities in my area, and we’re planning our annual Event for the Newcomer in October. It’s an all-day thing held at a large local church—there’s several panels, a main speaker, and a clean time countdown at the end of the event. We give away literature to newcomers as well, since they’re our focus. However, I guess I’m just looking for ideas on anything else we could do or special things we could give away. Anyone ever attend an event as a newcomer and have something really make an impression of them? I’m trying to think of my own time as a newcomer in recovery but I didn’t go to large events due to my debilitating shyness 😅 I’d appreciate any input, thanks for reading

Looks “off” to me

My fiancé and I just bought a house—this is our living room, which we want to remain TV-free. There is one dark gray accent wall with texture (which I like) and the rest of the walls are light gray. I wanted to warm it up with a copper-colored couch but something just isn’t fitting—I felt like the gray chairs and gray walls was too dull, but maybe now they’re clashing with the orange! I’ve already replaced the rug once and I think I might have to do it again—I feel like the light green just isn’t fitting. We’re changing wall decor by the day & figuring out what we like best so I’m not too focused on that, I’m really just confused by how to get the colors to look good. Any advice would be appreciated
