These 10 min tans and DHA …

Ok can someone smarter than me please help because I’ve tried and failed to figure this out

Does anyone know the actual DHA % in the Quick Flick or Loving Tan 10 minute tans? These newish ones you wash off after ten mins?

I’m not anti DHA or alarmist anything, I use fake tan all the time, but I generally know what % I’m using (my usual one is 10%).

I just can’t work out how these 10 minute tans would even work unless they’ve cranked up the DHA % significantly? Which is fine, but I’d still like to know what that number is!

DHA safety papers and some of the research seems a bit inconclusive at higher concentrations, so I feel like it’s a pretty reasonable thing to want to know

Someone asked Quick Flick directly on Tik Tok and they replied “as high as we legally could make it” but I tried to google what that is, and can’t even find what the legal limit is in Australia?! I just know Europe is 10%. Do they sell these in Europe ?!

Surely this information exists somewhere! And surely it’s a normal thing to want to know from a brand ?

Comfortable GTT tests

Hi all; I’m about to do my GTT test and the fb algorithm got me; turns out there’s a place in Melbourne that combines it with a massage!? So wow, amazing idea, why aren’t there more of these places or like spas/facial that could combine this if they have a nurse on staff already for injections … but ANYWAY …

It got me wondering if there’s a list of the most “comfortable” places for GTT tests, since not pathology places are the same !!

I’d love a bigger comfier chair or even a spot to lay down….. maybe somewhere not incredibly busy overall … etc etc . I have to give up on the idea of the massage haha but still hoping for some recommendations. I’m in Brisbane but if you want to post a good experience in another city go for it, in case it helps other Aussie mums who might stumble onto this post!

Maternity leave return bonus

Hi all, has anyone ever heard of a bonus for returning from maternity leave?
If so,
- did the employer also offer any maternity leave pay (not the government one, but something extra)
- was there a minimum time to be returned for to get it
- how much was it????

Just the travel Skip

Hi all! Surprise baby 3 on the way and I’ve long sold my prams.
I used just the skip from 6 months on with my first two as I hated the heavy big prams. I’m wondering if anyone’s gotten the skip3 with the bassinet and managed to have just that as their prams from day 1???

Contracts and pregnancy

Hi all! So I’ve had a long term goal (like a 2 year goal) to get into AusPS. I had a long career break (family related) so knew it be tough to get an interview and nail it. I therefore managed to find work at a consultancy, in a very junior role, where I’ve been earning my stripes fast - and learning A LOT! About half my hours are spent on government clients so I finally feel I’m getting to the point where an interview would be possible (nearing a year there). I like my current job, but it’s billable hours and if you’ve been there - it means A LOT of very long days. There’s also basically 0 flexibility if I want to WFH , or pop out for an hour to a dentist apt , or do pick ups or drop offs.

However as they say… when you make plans, life laughs in your face … despite my like 99% infertility (my 2 kids took a lot of medical intervention to happen), I’ve fallen accidentally pregnant. I’m nearing middle age and had finally gotten my “career” back … my youngest is almost 9!

I’m now flabbergasted about what to do. Before finding out, I had planned to slowly start looking and applying for public service roles, but now it just feels… all wrong. I’m not showing yet but I will be very soon. I don’t want to deceive any employer. I’m not wanting to switch jobs for mat leave entitlements at all, it was literally never a factor.

However the idea of now delaying my exit from the current role by like 1.5 years (the whole pregnancy plus mat leave, returning to the long hours with no flexibility with a 6 month old…) is making me want to cry.

I was wondering if a good alternative idea was to try and find a 6 month contract, where I can be up front about my situation or at least maybe it won’t piss anyone off too much when they find out because my contract was going to end before I’d go on mat leave anyway. My current job offers no mat leave anyway so I’m not losing anything as I’d still only get the normal national leave entitlements in either case.

I figured then when I’m going back after Mat leave, having the govt contract on my cv would make it even more likely to get another one (and eventually maybe a perm role down the line). I could start searching towards the end of mat leave.

I’d also be able to get away from my current long hours and 5 days in the CBD. The idea of this commute while in my third trimester is.. not a great thought.

Is this a terrible or impossible idea ?! Am I dreaming ?!
