Update to Henry H1 X 22 issue

I posted a couple days ago about getting terrible accuracy out of this new Henry at 25 yards (I have since deleted my post).

The issue was the optic and not the rifle. Same optic I’ve used on other rifles without a problem so trusted it to be fine…it wasn’t.

Put a Vortex Triumph 3-9 on the Henry, retested ammo with both suppressors, and it shot how I expected it to shoot with pretty good groups on a windy day. Shot a bit at 50 yards and it did okay but wind was an issue to make any realistic conclusions (probably around a 2” group average”.

Figured it is only fair I correct my mistake and give this rifle the credit it deserves. Much happier with it and will recommend it to others.

Apologize for blaming the rifle.

Henry H1 X 22LR

Have been looking forward to getting one of these since announced at Shotshow 2026.

Well I got one and am more disappointed in this rifle than any other rifle that I have ever purchased. Understanding this is a single experience with this specific copy , it is terrible suppressed (which is the only reason I wanted one).

At 25 yards with both CCI SV and Blazer ammo it was more like a shotgun with groups. I tried two different suppressors (Ryder SS and a Katan).

Without supressor it shot as well as I expected and was acceptable but that’s not the reason I got this. I already have a Marlin 39A.

If anyone has one let me know how yours is shooting suppressed. I’ll try a couple more ammo lots, but if this is what I can expect to get out of this…it’s garbage.

These groups were shot using a Lead Sled at 25 yards. I shot around 150 rounds between CCI SV and Blazer. Hate to bring out better match type ammo but will just to see.

Photos are at 25 yards without supressor and with.
