Do I need some cash in Bari? Are there still places where only cash is needed?

I just updated to 26.5 and with stosvpn it doesnt refresh the apps, then I installed localDev and I got the same issue, should I reset the whole process if I updated?

Visiting Bari in august

Hey, I will have 6 days and a half in Bari this summer and I was wondering what suggestions do you have for somebody who never went there.
I'm planing to visit by train nearby places like Monopoli or Polignano a Mare, maybe Lecce. What other closer cities would you recommend, maybe an order by distance? We don't have a car, we will use public transportation from Bari where we rented a place.
What beaches would you recommend? I'm curious if there are some sandy beaches nearby besides the rocky ones.
Is there a pass or anything that can help so we can move faster and cheaper with trains/buses?
Should we avoid anything regarding restaurants or other places that might be tourist traps.
Anything about beaches, restaurants, cities or places to visit would help, I can research afterwards.
