Rachel

I am so baffled this rewatch about why these characters continue to associate with Rachel or give her the benefit of the doubt. She is genuinely a terrible person, everything she’s done has cause insane damage. I mean she led Mouth on who continued to vouch for her and swore she was a good person, she release the time capsule essentially causing the shooting, she stole the limo at the wedding (how tf did she even get the keys??) and almost killed Cooper. I know later she tries to go after Nathan. She sends Brooke away on the weekend of the cheer showcase, she orchestrated the whole Chris situation and manipulated Lucas into believing she wanted to go on a date with Chris Keller.

Why was she even invited to the wedding? Why do they talk to her? I really don’t get why (within the show, obviously the writers kept her character around) these characters would keep her around them. It feels very unreal

S1 e20 Niki

I’m really irritated by the lack of charges that were pressed against Niki. Her entire case for getting Jenny back wouldve been out the window just like the stool she threw through it. She assaulted a minor as an adult it’s crazy to me that it was just glazed over like a little cat fight. She’s messy as hell with all these kids, if anything were reported none of the Jenny bs would even happen.

Karen and Larry

I’m rewatching after a few years of not seeing the show. I totally forgot about Karen dating Peyton’s dad. I actually wish they would’ve ended up together. Once Keith drove drunk with Lucas I would literally never forgive him. Since the cop said he was just shy of the legal limit (and we all saw him blow the red light) I have zero sympathy towards anyone that chooses to drink and drive so to me Keith is completely out the window.

I actually love the chemistry between them and wish it was explored more. I know it would’ve been weird for Lucas and Peyton but I just think Karen and Larry would’ve been great together

ETA: The extra layer of Larry losing his wife bc she blew a red light is another whole layer in the situation that should remind Karen of why she’s not with Keith. Honestly she folds way too easy, Keith has been an alcoholic and as much as he did for them it’s not enough to change his decision to put Lucas’s life on the line

Im totally on Deans side

About the whole issue of Rory wanting to be alone and then Dean ends up finding her with Jess and Paris at her house. Rory wanted a night to herself, fine you don’t have to spend every second with your boyfriend but when Paris shows up and especially Jess learn how to set boundaries. Rory set zero boundaries with Jess and let him talk his way into anything because she clearly liked him. Might as well be cheating on Dean at this point she’s flirting with another guy, lying to her bf about him being at her home and trying to keep your bf from coming over and finding out. She pmo
