Starting crusade in 11th as a new-er player: Which army has the easiest crusade rules?

Some context:

My partner and I are interested in starting a crusade game, we've both been playing for about 2 ish months now. He'd like it to be just the two of us (at least for this first crusade, as long as we play it), though in the future we might find a playgroup of people to play it in.

We've decided on Pariah Nexus as I've read that it is the simplest one to get into, but what I would like to know primarily is the title^ (along with anything else worth sharing!) or any ways to make crusade easier to play without explicitly homebrewing.

Cheers and thanks!

How juiced up should (and could) one get their immortals?

I am a sucker for plasmancer+immortals. Particularly, 10 of them with tesla carbines and rapid fire 1 off HotD upgrade. The feeling from a bespoke 40~-wound-roll Militarum-Melta blob having my opponent pack up a unit every turn or two really is unmatched.

What do you people think about these synergies?

  1. Traditional Rapid fire tachyon arrow via overlord?

  2. Canoptek tomb crawlers granting 6 more wounds, two (now 5+) *lethal hit* twin linked weapons, and ignore any/all BS, hit roll, and wound roll modifiers?

  3. Cryptek conclave and/or illuminor szeras on top cuz why not? (I've seen a list or two with these)

  4. All of the above in a list?

If I've missed/mistaken anything (strats too) do share: I'm fairly new to the hobby so any insights are appreciated.
