Update to my previous post about the chestnut mushrooms! They grew super fast, and I harvested them after work today. Would have been better to harvest in the morning, but I didn't have time (it took like 45 minutes to pluck, clean, and store them, plus rip out all the aborted pins and oddball side pins). They tipped the scales at 1754g, or just under 3.9lb from one harvest after cleaning them up and trimming their stems! I am absolutely flabbergasted at how much is here. I REALLY hope they're good, because otherwise I'll be giving away a ton of mushrooms.

I'm dunking the cake, possibly for a full 24hrs because the cake shrank about 2 inches in each dimension. Once that's done, I'll try for a second flush. The part of the bin that doesn't have any mushrooms is likely because my humidifier tube was dripping water on that side of the tub. I've since changed the tube's angle, and it no longer drips, so we'll see if flush #2 happens and if so, how it grows.
