Hows this looking?
First attempt at a clone.. Albino gumby cloned 6/22.. the agar is black from activated charcoal and 50:50 drippy corn grain water and distilled water..

I cut out a corner because of contamination right when pinning started, closed it back up n put it away for like a week or 2, and hoped for the best. Not quite sure what’s happening now but going to let it go a few more days and prob clone the nicer looking ones..
So I have a recipe for a 4lb recipe of drippy corn.. it involves pressure cooking the corn for 30min at 15psi.. If I were to want to make 8 pounds, or 12 pounds, I’m going to multiply the corn, water, peptones, and the corn syrup, but would I want to triple the cooking time too? I’m leaning towards no, because I think an hour and a half will burst all the kernels n shit. Just wondering if anyone has had any experience doubling or tripling the drippy corn recipe.
Everyone told me “room temperature is fine” for spawning grain jars, and it was extremely slow but seemed to be going ok. Even had a heat pad under the bin that seemed to help a little. Decided to try a cabinet with a reptile heat bulb and a control that keeps it between 80 - 85.. I B&S this 9 days ago it was like 25% and now I know what “fully colonized” grain looks like.. i def never got results like this at “room temperature”.. There’s oats under there somewhere 😂😂
So I sterilized a couple 1 gallon and half gallon grain jars, and trying to figure out the best way to colonize them.. I have a bunch of quart size grain jars that are like 1/2 colonized and was thinking of taking the colonized grains breaking them up and putting them in there, could also add a few CC of the same LC if that would help. I also have some agar plates I could use.. I was thinking of running some side by side comparisons to see what’s faster but only have a few half gallons and the gallon ones have to be sterilized one at a time so kind of a pain in the ass.. just wondering if anyone has done bigger jars than quarts and had any recommendations?
