The time a kid at my school died when I was in year 7.
I go to a British secondary school. Me and this girl were in the same year as we were both in year 7. We did not know eachother.
It was around July in year 7 and I was in woodwork class. I had just finished tieing my apron when a teacher comes running in and tells everyone to quickly go into the hall and when a few of us asked if we should take our aprons off she said no and said it would take to much time. We all quickly went into our hall and sat in random seats. None of us knew what was going on apart from a few teachers but the teachers wouldn't tell us anything. I was sat by myself, slightly stressing and worried because I didn't know what was going on. A few minutes later my friend came and sat next to me.
Two hours later and we were still in the hall with no information. We had no idea what was going on. Around the 2 hours and 30 minutes mark they finally moved us all into the lunch hall. We sat down in the lunch hall and now I was sat with my older sister instead of my friend. We still hadn't been told what was going on. 20 minutes or so after that we got moved again into classrooms. It was just random classrooms.
Around an hour later it was the end of the day so we were able to go home. I only found out later that day over a text message that my mom got from the school that a girl had suffered a heart attack and a seizure and was now at the hospital.
Around a week later I was at school when some teachers from SLT (Senior Leadership Team) came in and told us that the girl had passed away over the weekend.
It was super scary. RIP to the girl (not gonna say her name) and I'm sorry to the family.
