Does anyone else constantly get last minute sermon changes?
As the director of our church's media team, I feel like every Sunday there are at least a few changes that come in after we've already started building everything.
A point gets reordered.
A verse gets added.
The title changes.
Someone updates an announcement.
None of those things are a big deal individually, but it feels like everyone is working from a different version. I end up texting the worship leader, updating ProPresenter, letting the livestream team know, and hoping I didn't miss anyone.
I'm trying to convince my pastor to move to a shared sermon collaboration tool like ServantSuite so everyone is working from the same document, but you all know how it goes. Getting pastors to change a workflow they've used for years can take a little convincing.
Has anyone else made the switch from Google Docs or Word to something built specifically for sermon collaboration? If so, how did you get your pastor on board, and was it worth it?
